Our Background
ACM is a corporate financial advisory and investment management company based in Hong Kong and focused on Greater China and other selected countries in Asia.
The ACM Group was formed in 1994 and we are licensed by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to provide investment management advice and corporate financial advice. Our partners are senior, experienced professionals with a commitment to Greater China and Asia. We have accumulated knowledge, experience and relationships in our market over four decades.

Louis M. Bowen
Chairman and Chief Executive
Louis Bowen is Chairman and Chief Executive of Asia Capital Management Limited. He has been in the private equity and venture capital business in Asia since 1981. Prior to that, he spent nine years with Citicorp in New York including four years responsible for their Corporate Finance activities in the Asia-Pacific region from 1977 to 1981.
In his 40 years of private equity and investment banking in Asia, Louis has been responsible for over 50 investments in a range of industries and countries. He has advised a number of companies on cross-border corporate finance transactions. He currently serves on the boards of several companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
Louis received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School and has a BA in Economics from the University of Arkansas. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas. He is on the Board of Advisors of the Arkansas World Trade Center and the Board of Governors of the Wharton Alumni Association in Hong Kong.
Glenn Henricksen
Senior Advisor
Glenn Henricksen is a Senior Advisor of Asia Capital Management Limited. Prior to ACML, Glenn has worked for well-known global firms such as BlackRock Financial Management, New York Life, and Prudential Bache Securities. He had a variety of roles within those firms such as risk management, portfolio management, trading and capital raising.
Glenn is also a Director and founding partner of CIF Hong Kong (CIF) and Asia Technology Management (ATM), consulting firms that advise banks, non-bank financial institutions and corporations in Asian and EMEA emerging markets in various aspects of finance and management whose clients include a broad range of public and private institutions. Mr. Henricksen has served on the Board of Directors of several US-listed companies.
Glenn received a BS/MBA degree in Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982. He is a US citizen, permanent resident of Hong Kong.
James D. Collins - Taylor
Director
James Collins-Taylor is a director and shareholder of the ACM Group. He has been involved in the private equity and venture capital business in Asia since 1992. Prior to that, he spent twelve years with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu initially in London before moving to Hong Kong in 1987 to be in charge of the Hong Kong office’s professional standards review department.
James has extensive corporate finance experience and has been involved in a number of major transactions involving companies listed on the London and Hong Kong Stock Exchanges. He has also overseen and been involved in a number of significant financial investigations. He currently serves on the Boards of several companies in the Asia-Pacific Region.
James has an honours degree in Business Studies and Finance from Central Lancashire University and qualified as a chartered accountant in September 1983 with Touch Ross & Co. London. James has spent 35 years living and working in Asia.
Dr. Patrick G. Caviness
Senior Advisor
Dr. Patrick Caviness is a Senior Adviser to ACM and joined ACM in 1998. He has a distinguished career that spans investment banking, healthcare, education, and government service. After receiving his doctoral in Health Systems from Tulane Medical Center, he joined ACM with a particular focus on healthcare-related transactions.
Prior to getting his doctoral degree, Dr. Caviness has taught, consulted and written in the field of bank strategic and financial planning. He was executive vice president of a regional investment banking firm and Senior VP and Treasurer of a large metropolitan bank. He was the founder, president and CEO of an investment banking firm specializing in financing banks and thrifts in the US and senior vice president of a large bank consulting firm. He holds the American Banker’s Association distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Caviness has a graduate degree in Banking from Rutgers University in 1978. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in American Politics and Economics from Yale University and his Masters of Business Administration from the Wharton School. His obtained his doctoral degree from Tulane University Medical Center in 1998.
